Christmas Day

Christmas day was absolutely wonderful, the kids came over with Coy & Jay for brunch, they showed up about 12 all at the same time. Robin and I served a breakfast casserole with scones.
We all had a nice brunch before we opened presents. The little ones had a great time with the gifts. We got all of them pj's and then one big toy, it was sure hard for me to stick to just one toy but what do you get grandkids that have absolutely everything?
Anyway they all just loved what grandpa and I got them. We got the all the kids a magic bullet, they all commented of the one Robin had so we thought that would be a good gift and it turned out to be a hit. As you can see by the pictures it was a great day. After the food and fun we spent the rest of the day relaxing watching a video and napping. What else could you ask for?

Thackeray Christmas Party

Christmas eve for the past 33 years has always been spent with the Thackeray family, it has been a tradition. This year it was held at my son Jay's house. You can see by the first picture how the party started. Grandpa and Jackson having a great time and during the night the kids and family having good food and fun. You can see by the end of the night by the last picture grandma and Jackson ready for bed. LOL.....

McLendon Christmas Parties

This is the time of year when our families get together, we enjoy each others company and love to watch the kids play with each other and wait for Santa to come and sit on his lap. This year the kids are a little older and not as much crying as last year. You will see by the pictures they kind of liked Santa this year. We all loved the good food and friends. The party was at my house as usual the year for the McLendon family and here are some pictures from that fun event

Kippen Christmas Party

We had the Kippen Christmas Party and I knew it was going to be a strang one when Calvin started it with this face. I wasn't far off. We had a great time anyway.

This is Lori our dispatcher, she is such a great person to work with, I just love her, such a fun person. The cutie pie on my left is Jarrad he is one of my bosses, he is great to work for, he is one of Calvin's sons and Ladies he is SINGLE......

I don't know what Jarrad was talking about with Quincy (one of our cutters) but you can tell by the next picture it must have been kinda of funny.

Or maybe it was the alcahole, there was enough of it going around....

By the end of the night I'll be everything looked as blurry as this picture did to most of the guys. anyway wa all had a great time. Calvin and Jarrad are great people and fun bosses to work for. We just love it there. This had to be one of the best parties they have had so far.

Thanksgiving 2008

Thanksgiving is another great day for the family to get together and enjoy each others company. Grandma and Grandpa Great spent the day with us and it was such a wonderful day for everyone. All the kids and grand kids played most of the day before dinner and we all just relaxed after dinner. It was a great day with family.

By the look of our faces we must have been in an intense conversation, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what it was, that's how important it must have been. LOL

We mostly just enjoyed the great meal that we prepared.

Even the kids enjoyed the meal, they sat and ate all their food, Hurray....

Time for Pie, the kids could hardly wait

Toward the end of the day grandpa great enjoyed looking at a book with Kendra. What a Kodak moment, Also a great ending to a wonderful day.

Halloween 2008

Halloween is the start of my favorite time of the year, I just love from Halloween through New Year..
OK, I found a minute to add my Halloween pictures to my blog. The little ones came to visit grandma at work all dressed up for treats. That just made my day.... How cute are they?

However, just try to get a picture of all of them turned out to be the treat.........
Seth was the Pirate, Chance the ghost, Taylar the princess, Jackson the frog, Joel was the skunk and Kendra was the Cat. Grandma came as herself. LOL

Later that night these two little gobblins came to visit.

And of course I had to dress up the dogs, they just love it. Can you tell.....

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Today the girls and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch, we had a great time. This pumpkin was just a little big for the boys to bring home. LOL

Next we found the slides, but it took alot of coxing to get the boys to go down them.

I wonder who was having more fun Seth or Mom? Joel was left behind.

Taylar was only along for the ride Mom was having more fun.....

Next it was on to the train ride, this was something that the kids could do alone. Moms had to just watch.

Can you tell the boys had a great time on this little ride? It was the cutest little ride, they pulled it around with a little tracker.

Then we where off to feed the Lama's, all the kids, even the moms loved it. Can you tell who it was taking all the pictures at up to this point? Of course grandma!

A stop for a picture with grandma before going on a ride to pick out our pumpkins, you couldn't tell in this pose how proud this grandma was could you?

Finally what we came for a ride to get our pumpkins, but first more pictures.

Seth was the only one grandma could get a picture with his pumpkin and as you can tell by his face it was all he could do to hold it while grandma took the blasted thing.

Well that was our day, it was just as fun as it looks, the kids, the moms and grandma had a wonderful time and we can hardly wait until HALLOWEEN.
